In less than a blink of an eye millions of people around the world will be wishing friends and family a hearty “Merry Christmas or Happy Hanuka. But how many will really know why they are greeting people, other than the hype that has been driven into our heads since we were tiny children….writing letters to Santa/St. Nick etc., bidding for his time so we would be noticed in order to get stuff. I would like to take this time right now to put Christ back into Christmas.  Please stop for just a moment and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and how many children today, right here in our own wonderful country, the USA, have no place to rest their heads.  No room in the inn because they are homeless.  What does that say about us as a Nation?   I love my country.  I would not want to live anywhere else. But I am embarrassed that we cannot take care of our own.  We need to bring Christmas back to the people and bring our people back home where they belong with their families.  We need to rebuild our country. We need to put people to work. We need to feed our own hungry. We need to be “One Nation Under God” again. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
